Gossip Girl is a famous teen drama of America. The idea of the serial comes from the book of the same name which was written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The creators of the drama Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and telecasted on The CW. The drama airs on September 19, 2007. The drama is described by a well known blogger Kristen Bell. The drama is about the favoured young grown up of New York City.
The series is about the student life of the teens from Upper East Side. Serena Van der Woodsen portrayed by Blake Lively lives in Connecticut. Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf as her friend and sometimes as enemy, Chuck Bass played by Ed Westwick is a bad guy.

The drama also depicts her relationship with another man Dan Humphery. The main events of the serial are Blair and Nate's relationship, Serena's mother's relationship with Dan's father.
It was announced on 11 May 2011 that the sixth season will be the final cycle of the show. The sixth season premiered on October 8, 2012. The serial is also telecasted in 197 countries.
The first episode is viewed by 3.50 million viewers. The second and the third season got the audiences up to 3.00 and 3.43 million. The drama got the mixed reviews from the critics. Many publications like Variety, San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington and the Boston globe give positive reviews for the pilot episode.
The drama is criticized because of its modification from the Book by the New Yorker. The series is placed at tenth highest rated show by IMDb.com in 2002-2012.

The two production companies named Warner Bros. International television and Metan development group produced a Chinese show based on the same theme. The work on that drama starts in June and telecasted in November.
