India is a country where people love cricket more. Most of the people love to watch cricket. We have been watching the cricket since long time. But a sudden change in the game really matters a lot. The change is playing a game of 20-20 over's match instead of common 50 over's one day match. The change occurred in the year 2008 with a business input. IPL - Indian Premier League is the 20 twenty initiation from the BCCI and Vice President Mr. Lalit Modi. They have started the concept in the year 2008. The total team of franchises is 10. The Brand value is estimated to be Rs.18, 000 crore in 2010. The teams that participate are named according to the areas franchises are from. For ex: The Hyderabad team of Franchise Deccan chronicle is named as "Deccan Charges". The other franchises are also working in the same passion.

Apart from this the two new franchises are added, those two are Pune and Kochi from Sahara group and Rendezvous Respectively. These two teams will start their game from 2011 onwards.
IPL Seasons
The first IPL started in the year 2008 at Navi Mumbai. The winner was Rajasthan Royals. The next season (IPL 2) started in 2009 at South Africa. In IPL 2 the winner was Deccan Chargers. The shift was due to the general elections in India. Then it's time for the third season IPL 3, which was started on March 12th 2010 at Mumbai. In this season no player from Pakistan selected. Due to the political problems Deccan chargers were not able play at their home ground. Therefore new venues were added Nagpur, Cuttack and Navi Mumbai. In the fourth season the matches have increased to 94 from 60 as there are two new teams in the field. This season of IPL 3 is the first sporting event to be broadcast on YouTube.
Players
Apart from the Indian players, this time there is a chance to include more number of foreign players too for the franchises. There are some ICON Players in these seasons. The players are Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, Virendar sehwag . The players were taken into team based on the auction held before the season , excluding ICON Players.
Television Rights
The television Rights were given to the Sony Entertainment and World sports group for the payment of Rs. 8,700 crores for the period of ten years. In this the proportion is 20% to IPL, 8% for prize money, 72% for Distribution among Franchises. This proportion will be done till March 2012. Sony has sold the rights depending upon the geographical locations. The Sponsorship has been taken By DLF Group (India's biggest property Developer) for the period of five years from 2008 to 2013 at a payment of US$50 million. Apart from this there are other official partners such as Maxx mobile and Karbonn Mobile.

Hence as per the statistics we can have clarity that this is the most entertainment game. It has lot of craze in crowd. The largest percentage of people is watching this. Because of IPL there is a bit down system in Movie Industries. IPL becomes the most awaited program in this season.
