1 Corinthians 8:5
For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"),yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
You can wake up in the morning and pick from hundreds of religions and gods to serve. Because mankind has a need to look beyond himself he needs a god or something or someone to worship. All of the mainstream religions have a real god or some type of spirit they can pray to and worship. These gods or spirit beings cannot impose themselves on any one; they must be chosen and accepted in order for them to have a claim on the victim or disciple. These are real gods who also will come for the people who have chosen them after the person has died. They will take them to the place where they live and every one of these gods has a different place that he calls home. Yes these gods have a real kingdom where they do business.
These gods are the gods of the Muslims, Buddhist, Hindus, Satanist, and the gods of witchcraft and Spiritism along with many others which you can pick from. Because these gods are real beings they can answer some prayers and might even talk back to people who seek them. That is why the people who worship them are so sure they have come to the right god. There is such a thing as a satanic anointing that is given to those who seek certain spirits. Some of these gods can heal and even prosper those who seek them.
But there is one God you cannot choose or accept because he does the choosing and he does the accepting. You cannot win him over with flowers and idols or even prayers and chants. No amount of work or holy living can move him on your behalf because he sees all work as an abomination and a dirty rag. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the Hebrews. He chooses who he wants to save and he chooses who he plans to have a relationship with. It is He who elects and He only who predestines those who will be with Him forever in His kingdom.
This is God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Any one of the other gods can be chosen but this God cannot be chosen as if he needed somehow to be accepted by humans. So who are the chosen and who are the elect of God the Father? All those who believe that Jesus Christ was sent to die for them: these are the elect. All they have to do is just believe what is said about Jesus in the New Testament and they are the elect. So everyone has already been chosen, everyone in the world has already been elected and saved by God, just believe it. If you don't believe it you well forfeit your salvation and be lost in hell for all eternity, or worse you well go with your god wherever he is going and I don't think that is good.
Ephesians 2:1-10
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
You are going to heaven because someone else paid the price for your ticket. You don't have to kill someone because someone has already been killed for this purpose. Jesus Christ was killed so you could go to heaven, no more killing has to be done, you are free. This ticket is always available as long as you live. You are the chosen, the elect, the predestined, and all for free. Just say "YES"
