AGEING GRACEFULLY
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh! It's my birthday; am ageing gracefully,
Feeling of getting old I accept joyfully,
For forty eight years of life; I thank God gratefully,
But thinking untimely demise of beloveds; Sorrowfully.

What have you done all the years left behind?
Made stack of friends of different kind.
With the good job sought and found,
I render service to mankind totally bound.

Every penny earned; I carried it home,
Every fast and prayers; for family bloom,
Daughter- Wife -Mother all phases I stride,
Turned to milestones of immense pride.

I thank Great God for making me - Me.
I thank dear loving parents to let me be-
as someone, in this beautifully woven earth,
Amidst all ailments, shortfalls gotten by birth.

I fly high, with the family tied
Spouse and children colouring wide.
My sisters and brother; the children they own,
Make me hum the Jingle bells tone.

If another year is given to me,
I shall extend aid, those calling for me.
Humble prayer "God make me good and do good"
Will make me march the year ahead.
