Tesla Model S also known as WhiteStar is an electric car manufactures by Tesla Motors and is expected to be in the market by early 2012. It will be a 4-door sedan with 160 miles mileage. The acceleration of Model S is also excellent. The highest speed of this car will be 195 kmh. The basic model will be able to run for 160 miles beginning from a fully charged state using a 42 KW-h battery pack. Users can drive longer by using a larger range battery pack which will be also available. The normal charging time of the 42 KW-h battery packs will be 3 to 5 hours but there will also be a 45-minute quick charge option.

According to the tentative estimation the initial price of the standard model with a 160 mile (260 km) range will be $57,400. The price of the premium model with a greater range of 300 mile (480 km) will be $65,000.
