'What next?' is a question which keeps popping up inside the student's mind who are in their 11th and 12th standard. It's a crucial stage, where one has to decide about career. Earlier parents, teachers and relatives used to decide which course is fit/unfit for the child.
Initially society was more stereotyped and parents used to ask their child to do conventional courses like Engineering, MBBS, and MBA etc. Going by the conventional thought that such courses guarantee a good job and decent earning, parents didn't want to compromise with the future of the child.
But today scenario is completely different. There are lot of options available, one can become a can writer if he/she has good writing skills, and can earn substantial amount because there are so many sites which pay for doing content writing. It helps the person to enhance his/her skills and develops the sense of confidence and independence. And one day may be that person can become a writer of a best selling book.
Even one can take part in various talent hunt shows telecasts on different private channels. Super hit programmes like 'Indian Idol' and 'Fame Gurukul' on Sony TV, 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' and 'Dance India Dance' on Zee TV has provided a strong platform to some of the very talented youngsters to showcase their skills. Rahul Vaiya, Abhijit Sawant & Mehandi Hasan are some of the confident and fortunate singers who believed themselves and got the chance to work with well-known musicians.
Time has come when student should focus and try out something unusual. But first they have to figure out their unconventional skills and then they need to polish them. So, it's time to think out of the box , to do different , to do unconventional.
